In the latest string of developments, Twitter has added a feature that allows you to send emails to Twitter and non-Twitter users directly from twitter.com
The new feature was introduced on Thursday (15 November) and has already seen considerable interest from Twitter users wanting to share Tweets and content with friends and family.
The button named “Email Tweet” is visible in users Tweet feed and the expanded view of any Tweet.
The new email feature is currently only available to Tweeters in the US but will be made available to users around the world in the forthcoming weeks.
Twitter supported apps such as HootSuite and TweetDeck already offer the email feature. However, although these platforms offer a wide range of tools such as scheduling Tweets and managing multiple accounts simultaneously, many users still connect with their networks through the Twitter website.
Twitter’s user growth has risen to 500 million across the globe. The new feature could help draw users back to twitter.com and could boost the social network’s user base further.
