Why does Facebook keep a record of everything you search for??
Well, much like Chrome or other web browsers, Facebook keeps a track of what and who you search for to cache the search queries to display results faster the next time you enter a similar search.

We’ve all been there, searched Facebook to look up an ex or a a new crush and you find yourself checking their profile all too often. Sound familiar? Facebook remebers and has kept a record to remind you the next time you do a Facebook search for something similar!
The world’s biggest and most popular social media platform is now used much like an every day web browser, with the addition of new features such as Graph Search and recommendations to the nearest restaurants, Facebook stores every single term you enter in their search box!
Worry not, because the privacy settings for this data is set to default meaning that only you can see this, however, you may feel better knowing that information is no longer lurking around.
If you want to delete your Facebook search history, it’s actually a very simple process. So here’s how you can delete and clear your Facebook search history!
1. Click onto your Facebook profile and click the “Activity log” option at the bottom right of your cover photo.
2. Your activity log is a full and detailed list of your posts and all Facebook activity, including what you have Liked, commented on and your search history.
3. Click on the “More” option on the left-hand menu, right under “Photos,” “Likes” and “Comments.”
4. Expand the list and scroll down until you see “Search.”
5. You will now see your Facebook search history, in date order.
6. Click “Clear Searches” when you see this pop up.
Voila! Your Facebook search history has now been wiped clean.
