Pope Benedict makes Twitter history as he sends first tweet to a million followers.
Today marks a special date across many parts of the world, but the social media world has welcomed a new addition into the Twitter-fold.
Pope Benedict XVI tweeted his first three tweets from an iPad this morning to more than 1 million followers. Pope Benedit’s Twitter account has been the center of attention since it was announced earlier this week, you can follow him at @Pontifex.
The Tweet read:
Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.
